2021 State Tournament

The 2021 State Tournament will be held online on Saturday, May 15, with Otterbein University serving as the virtual host. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m.

Although we will miss out on the hospitality and the excitement of exploring Otterbein's college campus, Power of the Pen State qualifiers and their coaches can look forward to some of the same traditions as past tournaments, including the annual poetry contest, guest author, and more. Visit the State 2021 page for more details. Registration was open April 5 through April 30, with payment due May 7.

We look forward to this virtual gathering of the best 7th and 8th grade writers throughout the state. These young authors have worked hard throughout the season to polish their craft, and we are excited about honoring their achievements in a virtual state celebration.
